Finally, it is Chinese New Year! But I was damn tired because of yesterday's incident. But it is worth it, because Chinese New Year is my favourite festival, because not only we get to receive red packets, we also get to eat New Year goodies like the pineapple tarts, the 'Ba Kwa', cookies and many more. I woke up at nine and set off for visitation at ten. I was one of the latest we set off in my life. Normally, we would wake up at eight, and set off at nine. The first stop we went was my mother's godmother's house.
We usually go to my mother's god mother's (I shall call her grandmother, because I usually calls her that) house first as we would take our breakfast there. My grandmother seriously cooks very well. Every year she will cook 'Shuan Pan Zhi' for my family to eat though it takes a it of effort to do it and this year was no exceptions. I ate two full bowls of it. Talking about 'Shuan Pan Zhi', I am craving for it now!
After that we went to my father's parent's house and my mother's parent's house. Because I was already given red packets before Chinese New Year, hence I just laze around the house watching television and talking to my cousins. After that, at about 3.30pm, my whole family from my father's side went to my grandmother's sister house. When I reached there, people there immediately give me red packets, as though I am a VIP. After getting red packets, I went to the sofa to sit down and ate some New Year goodies. But sitting there feeling bored, I went asleep.
I only woke up when it was time to leave at around 6pm. We bid our host goodbye and left for home. When I reached home, my sister and I counted our red packets and I noticed that I had 2 lesser than my sister! It must be when I was sleeping, she good another 2! I am not going to let this happen again, so I will sleep now, at 8pm, to make sure I stay wide awake so that I will not get lesser red packets than my sister! Got to sleep, bye!
